In a little less than 72 hours PHS raised $2400 that will more than pay for my surgery!
Rita had her surgery on Thursday afternoon at Mahopac Animal Hospital and so far so good! Rita also has a foster family who will watch over her at their home while she recovers.
Even though we've reached our goal for Rita, PHS takes the donations that are over the original amount needed and adds them to "Rita's Fund (Emergency Fund for Abused Animals)" which directly benefits dogs and cats that arrive at PHS with injuries inflicted on them due to neglect or abuse.
