Meet Tiko, a stunning 9-month-old Kangal/Anatolian Shepherd mix, weighing in at 110 pounds. Tiko is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to find his forever home. In his previous home, he thrived in a loving environment with a fenced yard, surrounded by numerous birds and four canine companions. Unfortunately, as Tiko reached around 8 months, conflicts arose with the older Rottweilers, leading to the difficult decision to rehome him.
Tiko’s ideal home would be one with a fenced yard, or farm setting. Despite his recent challenges, he remains a friendly and loving dog, showing a strong bond with people. While he hasn’t lived with children, his positive interactions with shelter staff suggest he could adapt well to a family environment, but we would suggest older children due to his size.
The previous owner, deeply committed to Tiko’s well-being, is willing to assist with transportation to ensure a smooth transition. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this handsome canine companion, please reach out to the Putnam Humane Society in Carmel, NY, at 845-225-7777 or via email at shelter@puthumane.org (mailto:shelter@puthumane.org). Give Tiko the chance to thrive in a new, caring home – he’s eagerly waiting for his second chance at happiness.
